Caligo factora: Abandon “Human”

Debates continue on nomenclature. New Humans. Neohuman. Cenosapien. The Processed. Annie-born. 

Annie Itself uses only two terms to refer to us: organic neural networks, or ONN’s, and caligo factora. Both terms have been universally verified through multiple peer-reviewed translations. Everyone understands ONN’s. No one has been able to figure out what caligo factora means, yet. 

Those who suggest pre-Interval humans communicated in multiple languages point to the use of the term by Annie as evidence supporting their theory. Maybe they are right. Maybe caligo factora was a common expression in their language, or one of their languages. Maybe it just means “human being.”

As the nomenclature conference draws near, we support the adoption of “new human” as the common term. The members of our contingency have all agreed to use it. We reject the other terms and are prepared to explain and defend our positions on each one. This proposal emphasizes the rejection of “ONN’s” and “caligo factora” simply on the basis that we refuse to accept a term for ourselves designed by Annie. Additionally, we reject the term “caligo factora,” and insist that all conference attendees also reject it, simply because no one knows what it really means yet. This should be obvious to all.

This contingency strongly recommends the adoption of “new human” for all official and research documentation. It is simple, direct, concise. “New” allows for the sliver of hope that things can get better.
